Google Austin?
Josh has discovered a Google job posting for an Engineering Director in Austin. It’s nice that they’ve got exactly one opening in Austin at the moment, but check out this extra tidbit from the job description: “provide leadership for a group 100+ engineers.”
Perhaps there might a few more openings in the near future? I haven’t been tracking Google’s recruiting behavior, so maybe they do this from time to time just to see who’s out there. The job posting alone wouldn’t be that exciting but I found something else from a few months back in William Hurley‘s Flickr photos: Another clue in the Google-Austin connection?

Austin definitely would be a good place for an office. A lot of creative people there. :)
